Summary
Gritty drama of three couples. Each has their own problem, but there's one thing they have in common; wife beating. Whether it is financial problems, drinking or whatever, the three women have to fight their ways out of this- and so do their husbands.
with clips from Christian B&W films:
The Bishop's Wife (1947)
Angels with Dirty Faces (1938)
The Bells of St. Mary's (1945)
The Miracle of the Bells (1948)
and Come to the Stable (1949)
Over on side two God is sending ‘10,000 Angels’ with 10,000 devils close behind as they try to shape the world. Godley is called a liar but says that it’s true and not just a trick of the light as everyone says – ‘they used to be stars’ and are ‘playing gold guitars!’ The most gospel track on the album is made more bearable thanks to an extraordinary harmonica solo from Feltham that’s played at top speed and makes the song bound along with real urgency and energy. The tune is rather lovely too, sounding rather McCartney-ish in its scope and roundedness.

When I heard it the first time, I thought Central Line was an All- American band of the early '80s since they released a single, "Walking into Sunshine", but I never realized they were British.
"Walking Into Sunshine" by Central Line is by far their biggest hit. This mix done by Larry Levan has reserved use of synths, perfectly catchy vocals and a lackadaisical beat all of which create a super balanced mix. Not rare, hard to find or even expensive, just a nice solid anti-nine to five tune.
"Cry" by Godley & Creme is based on: Isaiah 29:12 12 Or if you give the scroll to someone who cannot read, and say, “Read this, please,” they will answer, “I don’t know how to read.” Luke 12:56 56 Hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky. How is it that you don’t know how to interpret this present time? Matthew 20:22 22 “You don’t know what you are asking,” Jesus said to them. “Can you drink the cup I am going to drink?” “We can,” they answered. Mark 10:38 38 “You don’t know what you are asking,” Jesus said. “Can you drink the cup I drink or be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with?” Psalm 5:2 2 Hear my cry for help, my King and my God, for to you I pray. Psalm 6:8 8 Away from me, all you who do evil, for the Lord has heard my weeping. 1 Samuel 16:18 18 One of the servants answered, “I have seen a son of Jesse of Bethlehem who knows how to play the lyre. He is a brave man and a warrior. He speaks well and is a fine-looking man. And the Lord is with him.” Matthew 27:13 13 Then Pilate asked him, “Don’t you hear the testimony they are bringing against you?” John 9:29 29 We know that God spoke to Moses, but as for this fellow, we don’t even know where he comes from.” Jeremiah 6:15 15 Are they ashamed of their detestable conduct? No, they have no shame at all; they do not even know how to blush. So they will fall among the fallen; they will be brought down when I punish them,” says the Lord. Jeremiah 8:12 12 Are they ashamed of their detestable conduct? No, they have no shame at all; they do not even know how to blush. So they will fall among the fallen; they will be brought down when they are punished, says the Lord. https://wordtoworship.com/song/15346
