We along with the Summerfest Committee was admonished for having a young girl out there in a cat suite with no underwear gyrating and wiggling. St. Mary's said they would never sponsor another event if there were acts such as these in the line-up. (Especially our band.) lol.
Performing the Who classic on a jam night with the late great Keith Justice on drums. Circa late 1998-99-? at Jake Finches Lounge in Huntington, WV This was the first time Keith ever played this song. I played some gigs and a National Ricky Lynn Gregg Talent contests as "The house band" with Keith Justice, Ricky Lynn Gregg,
Keith was a Herculean Powerhouse on the drums, relentless, and mos def in the top ten for ur region.
Keith became ill, had a devastating diagnosis and ended his life (on Easter morning) so as not to make his loved ones suffer through a long-losing horrible bout with cancer. Salute to a real "man's man."
His last gig was the Saturday night before Easter Sunday when he came up and jammed for the last time with Bill Fraley, Greg Lawrence, Andy Caudill at The Ironton Eagles.
