Being served with a contempt of court hearing, and finally understanding that in Orono, Mn that you need to have a socially acceptable firewood pile, I burned nearly all of my firewood up so there is no question as to compliance. What ever happened in our country that a disabled vet could be put in jail for an unruly firewood pile???? We spend billions as a country fighting for others freedom overseas, but allow these kinds of injustices to happen at home!! Follow me as I travel and explore real life across the USA.
Found this comical duo when we stopped by the Beach Bar for a beer one afternoon. Seems like they are regulars and used to being there. Follow me as I travel and explore real life stories across the USA.
First and foremost, I need to state emphatically that my wife and I are NOT criminals, yet the city keeps trying to put us in jail. Even criminals get definite sentences, but the city wants us put away for good for what can pon;y be called minor property issues.Today we look at the contempt charges filed by Jared Shepherd for the City of Orono against the Nygards (aka Mr and Mrs Turbine Guy). We will see how the motion was poorly written, violates MN statute and is an aggressive attempt to punish the Nygards (instead of encouraging compliance as the statute was written to do). In fact, https://youtu.be/zdLleSXga9w shows how the Nygards did comply with the order as written by Mr Shepherd himself. Either way, immediate and indefinite jail time is sought as a first recourse by Mr Shepherd and Orono, something that is rarely done in the last course for others. You tell me if you think we should be jailed first thing?????
Come with me, Mike and Foo Dog on an Autumn boat ride on West Arm of exclusive Lake Minnetonka just west of Minneapolis, MN. This 1954 Chris Craft Sportsman's Deluxe antique boat sports a 700+ pound 131 HP flathead 6 cylinder engine. I have been through many different rebuilds on this boat to keep her in the excellent condition she is in. I am the second owner as my dad bought this boat for my mom back in the late 1960's. I visited the Open Access Technology International microgrid technology center in Bloomington, Minnesota. They refused my request for a tour, so I have to guess at what I am talking about, specifically, the 2 12 kW vertical axis wind turbines (VAWT's) on their roof which almost never seem to spin.
Looks to me like a very poorly engineering installation, the turbines are way too low to roof, thus they are located in a turbulent wind area. these style of VAWT's require a good gust of wind to get going, thus I do not think they will ever really reach their potential.

I found this historic site on a journey through Wyoming, in the middle of nowhere.Read the plaque in the video for more detailed info. Follow me as I travel and explore real life renewable energy projects across the USA.
I ran across this deserted gold mine on my travels through rural South Dakota (I know, they both mean the same thing). It appears to be available of anybody wants to start mining without having to travel to Alaska!! I also found a FB page for it: https://www.facebook.com/pages/R-E-Hanks-Gold-Mine/1666487640343110.Follow me as I travel and explore real life Americana and renewable energy projects across the USA.
