one spends their whole life making the shirt that you throw away

one spends their whole life making sure an indifferent world is a-ok

one spends their whole life eating whats right just to contact food poisoning

one spends their whole life

a new breed of malaria, conditioned fear and hysteria

efficient lives so meta-meta, increasingly smaller smaller

becoming the virus, a host that eats its own body

becoming the virus, a host that attacks its own body

nanonuts and nanite dust, in our trust funds we now trust

saving all our hard earned cash as erosion eats away the Earth's crust

becoming the virus, a host that its own body

becoming the virus, a host that attacks its own body

you always say how great it is to be blessed

as if we know something that the cursed don't know

becoming the virus etc.

to me it seems more like matters of circumstance,

to me it seems like matters of chance

becoming the virus etc.

virus on the prowl moving ever steadfast

digitized sprawl collapsin' the first last

jelly on the toast continental breakfast

matter eating matter, matter killing matter

matter mating with matter, mind over matter

its all matter in the end, it don't matter in the end

its all matter in the end, it don't matter in the end

oh baby let's get real raw

and roll around on the dirty ground (repeat)

we built this city on a sturdy foundation of dirt and worms

we keep killing the bugs, they keep coming back

we built this city on a sturdy foundation of contradictions

we keep imprisoning the thugs, they keep coming back

we made our beds of dirt upon a single Earth

it'll be around long after the last serfs die fightin' over this or that turf

sometimes you're born in the summer air,

sometimes with the sand that clogs your throat

sometimes you're born with one little goat,

sometimes you're born with the whole Greek coast

sometimes you get enough rope to hang yourself

sometimes we can boast about whose choking faster

sometimes we win the war, sometimes we're toast (repeat)
